Ramon Revilla Sr. to undergo angiogram, says Bong

Former actor and senator Ramon Revilla Sr. will have his heart examined, days after he survived a health scare, his son Senator Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr. said on Tuesday.

"He is doing better than when I first brought him to the hospital, but still on the long road to recovery," Bong said in a Facebook post.

"He will undergo an angiogram procedure tomorrow dahil may irregular sa kanyang puso na baka cause ng iba pa niyang karamdaman," he added.

The senator asked for more prayers for his 93-year-old father.

"Hawak ko po ang kamay ng aking ama, at damang-dama ko ang pagmamahal at patuloy niyang paglaban," Bong captioned the photo of his gloved hand intertwined with that of his dad.

"His will to get through this and his strong desire to live, hand in hand with our prayers and the love of God keeps us positive and hopeful," he added.

On May 31, the former lawmaker was brought to St. Luke's Medical Center-Global City and got hooked to a ventilator after experiencing difficulty in breathing.

His condition stabilized the following day, according to his grandson Cavite Vice Governor Jolo Revilla. -NB, GMA News
