151 OFWs from We Heal As One Center-Philippine Arena return home

A total of 151 overseas Filipino workers who recovered from the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) returned to their homes on Saturday, according to the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA).

The OFWs, who were seafarers and land-based OFWs from the Middle East and the United Kingdom, were quarantined at the We Heal as One Center-Philippine Arena.

A send-off ceremony for the OFWs was attended by Health Secretary Francisco Duque III, national action plan against COVID-19 deputy chief implementer Secretary Vince Dizon, and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration Administrator Hans Leo Cacdac among others

The OFWs living in Luzon were brought to the Paranaque Integrated Terminal Exchange while those from Visayas and Mindanao were brought to the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.

— DVM, GMA News
