PACC has received 4,000 complaints since lockdown, mostly about SAP —Belgica

The Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC) has received around 4,000 complaints since the implementation of community quarantine, Commissioner Greco Belgica said on Sunday.

Interviewed on Dobol B sa News TV, Belgica said that most of the complaints involve the distribution of cash assistance under the Social Amelioration Program (SAP).

“We received 4,000 reports...Some of them are being investigated right now,” Belgica said.

“’Yan po ang pinakamarami, ‘yung tungkol sa distribution.'Yung mga hindi dapat kasama, naisama, o mga hindi pa nakatatanggap,” he added.

Belgica added some are about overpricing in personal protective equipment (PPE) and test kits, which include complaints against PhilHealth and the Department of Health.

"Nagbigay rin po siya [PhilHealth President Ricardo Morales] ng kanyang sagot sa mga allegation na ibinintang sa kanya,” Belgica said, adding that it is still under investigation.

According to Belgica, the commission has also received complaints involving other agencies, while some are “isolated cases.”

He noted that some of the subjects of investigation have already been dismissed from work. — Joviland Rita/BM, GMA News
