Harry Roque takes a dip with the dolphins in Subic amid quarantine

Netizens have questioned presidential spokesperson Harry Roque's visit to a resort in Subic, Zambales amid the quarantine status in Metro Manila that allows only essential travels outside the region, according to a report on "24 Oras."

The pictures which have been deleted from the Ocean Adventure Facebook page showed Roque in the waters with the dolphins.  In another shot, Roque was seen without mask while talking with two persons.

Roque explained he visited a property in Bataan, which is in its first day under the modified general community quarantine (MGCQ), similar to Subic.

The spokesperson said he had passed by the resort which he has not visited for a long time.

He also said that he was considered an "authorized person outside residence" due to his business and was thus given permission to travel.

Roque further reasoned that tourism is also allowed under MGCQ, adding that he was the only visitor at the resort. —Joahna Lei Casilao/LDF, GMA News
