Videos show Jolo cops following soldiers' SUV before shooting

A series of CCTV videos showed how Jolo policemen were already in a convoy with the slain soldiers' SUV shortly before the Army men were shot to death earlier this week.

According to John Consulta's report on "24 Oras", the soldiers were supposed to stop at the Jolo police station but went straight ahead while the policemen parked. 

This prompted the cops to give a brief chase as another video showed the soldiers' vehicle slowing down to park. 

These the clips were among the pieces of evidence already in the custody of the National Bureau of Investigation.

The four soldiers were reportedly on an intelligence gathering mission when they were apprehended by Jolo policemen on Monday afternoon.

The videos no longer caught the actual shooting as SUV was no longer in the frame when it stopped.

The cops' vehicle was seen in pursuit and stopping in the wake of the SUV. The cops went down with their guns drawn.

The actual shooting was not seen but it was apparent that traffic stopped while pedestrians scampered away after the policemen alighted from their vehicle. -NB, GMA News
