Gov't aims to implement second Hatid Tulong Program by end of July

The government has laid out a plan to bring home another batch of locally stranded individuals (LSIs) to their home provinces by the last week of July, Interior Secretary Eduardo Año said on Tuesday.

Año made the statement after almost 4,000 LSIs were sent home last weekend under the government's Hatid Tulong Program.

Maari po itong sa last week ng July, kapag natapos na rin 'yung mga naka-quarantine sa ngayon bunga ng ating naihatid na LSI," Año said in a briefing aired past midnight.

According to Año, the government used 92 buses, one ship, and one PNR train to bring home a total of 3,820 LSIs from 5,296 stranded individuals.

-- BAP, GMA News
