COVID-19 cases within PNP almost at 1K with 39 new infections

The number of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases within the Philippine National Police (PNP) rose to 981 on Wednesday with 39 new infections.

Meanwhile, 10 more personnel have recovered from the illness, bringing the total to 429 recoveries, while fatalities remained at nine.

As of July 8, the PNP has reported a total of 659 probable and 1,258 suspect cases.

The agency advised PNP personnel who are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms to reach out to the PNP Health Service.

Meanwhile, the Philippines on Wednesday reported a record-high 2,539 new infections, bringing the nationwide tally to 50,359 with 12,588 recoveries and 1,314 fatalities. — Joahna Lei Casilao/BM, GMA News
