Palace introduces ‘anti-COVID-19 czars’

Malacañang on Monday introduced the government officials tasked to implement the country’s test, trace and treat strategy aimed at keeping the COVID-19 outbreak under control.

Called “Philippine anti-COVID czars” by presidential spokesperson Harry Roque, the officials included National Task Force Against COVID-19 deputy chief implementer Vince Dizon (chief testing czar), Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong (chief tracing czar), Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar (chief isolation czar) and Health Undersecretary Leopoldo Vega (chief treatment czar).

The Philippines has so far reported 57,006 COVID-19 cases, with 1,599 deaths and 20,371 recoveries. —LDF, GMA News
