PNP reports 37 more COVID-19 cases; total now at 1,335


The total number of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases within the Philippine National Police (PNP) increased to 1,335 on Thursday after 37 more personnel tested positive for the illness.

The PNP also announced that 36 more patients have recovered from the virus, bringing the total to 565 while the death toll within the agency remained at nine.

At present, the PNP has 1,391 suspect COVID-19 cases and 640 probable cases.

The agency advised personnel who are experiencing COVID-19-like symptoms to contact the PNP Health Service.

Meanwhile, the Philippines has reported a total of 61,266 cases with 21,440 recoveries and 1,643 fatalities. — Joahna Lei Casilao/BM, GMA News
