PNP reports 46 new COVID-19 cases; total now at 1,538


The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Sunday reported 46 additional cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) among its police officers, bringing the total number to 1,538.

Latest data from the PNP showed that recoveries, meanwhile, climbed to 596 after 10 more patients recovered from the viral disease, while the death toll within the PNP remained at nine.

As of 6 p.m. of July 19, there were 1,600 suspected COVID-19 cases and 732 probable cases.

Moreover, the PNP urged its employees experiencing symptoms similar to COVID-19 to contact its health service.

Nationwide, cases of COVID-19 ballooned to 67,456 including 22,465 recoveries and 1,831 fatalities.  — DVM, GMA News
