Number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in PCOO reaches 15

Presidential Communications Operations Office Secretary Martin Andanar on Sunday said 15 PCOO employees tested positive for COVID-19.

Fourteen are active cases while one has died, he said in an interview on Dobol B sa News TV.

Andanar said the PCOO has activated its COVID Warrior Mechanism wherein there were people assigned to do contact tracing and coordinate with hospitals.

"Naka-lockdown kami sa PCOO at RTVM [Radio Television Malacañang]. May mga pinapasok lang tayo sa technical side," he said.

"Lahat, dadaan sa swabbing," he said, including those who work in production such as himself who need to go to work daily.

Andanar said that after President Rodrigo Duterte's State of the Nation Address (SONA) on Monday, RTVM will just hold productions virtually, at least for the next two weeks.

Meanwhile, there are around seven to eight confirmed COVID-19 cases in PCOO's agencies such as PTV4, Apo Production Unit, and the Philippine Information Agency, he said.
