Senate all set for 2nd regular session opening

The Senate is ready for the opening of its 2nd regular session on Monday amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Photos released by the Senate Public Relations and Information Bureau on Sunday showed that acrylic barriers have been set up between tables, seats and side railings at the plenary hall.

Senate Secretary Myra Marie Villarica on Sunday inspected the installation of the acrylic barriers which are meant to provide protection against possible exposure to COVID-19.

The Senate will start its session on Monday at 10 a.m., hours before President Rodrigo Duterte will deliver his fifth State of the Nation Address.

Some senators will be physically present at the Senate, while others are expected to attend virtually. —KG, GMA News
