Mae Paner channels Harry Roque, arrives with 'dolphins' at anti-SONA protest

Activist Mae Paner on Monday channeled presidential spokesperson Harry Roque during a rally at the UP Campus in Quezon City marking President Rodrigo Duterte's fifth State of the Nation Address (SONA).

In a Facebook post of Bayan's Renato Reyes Jr., Paner, who also uses the moniker Juana Change, is seen garbed in swimming outfit and with inflatable dolphins by her side — a potshot at Roque's controversial sidetrip to Ocean Adventure Park in Subic, Bataan, earlier this month.

Netizens had  questioned Roque's visit

to the resort amid the quarantine status in Metro Manila that allows only essential travels outside the region due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The pictures, which have since been deleted from the Ocean Adventure Facebook page, showed Roque in the waters with the dolphins.

Roque explained that he visited a property in Bataan, which at that time was in its first day under the modified general community quarantine. He said that he was considered an "authorized person outside residence" due to his business and was thus given permission to travel. —Joviland Rita/KBK, GMA News
