The Department of the Interior and Local Government-National Police Commission (DILG-NAPOLCOM) Center in Quezon City was again placed under a one-week lockdown after an employee tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

In a statement released Monday, the DILG said authorities will conduct disinfection procedures at the building starting 8 a.m. on Tuesday as well as further contact tracing.

The DILG advised all personnel who reported at the Central Office, the PMOs and SRA Annex to undergo home quarantine for at least one week.

Meanwhile, a work-from-home system will be implemented from July 28 to August 2 while work for skeleton workers will resume on August 3.

Stay-in personnel are directed to remain within the DILG-NAPOLCOM Center as the DILG prohibited the leaving and entering of the building during the lockdown. Those who will experience COVID-19 symptoms will be brought to an isolation room.

Key officials and personnel, however, may be allowed to enter the building in extreme cases, provided that they do not interact with other offices.

The DILG also said that it will also implement a no visitor policy. Its security guards have also been ordered to strictly prohibit loitering within the premises.

Meanwhile, external clients with official transactions to submit or follow up documents will be received by the Central Records Section on the ground floor.
