Testing site for Grab drivers, delivery partners launched in NCR

Grab Philippines, the National Taskforce on COVID-19 and the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) on Thursday launched a RT-PCR testing site for the company’s driver- and delivery-partners in Metro Manila.

The testing site is located in Quezon City Memorial Circle.

Grab’s driver- and delivery-partners can avail of the free-of-charge RT-PCR testing starting July 30, Thursday.

"Safety has always been at the core of everything we do at Grab. We believe that through our partnership with the National Taskforce on COVID, the BCDA, and our driver- and delivery-partners, we continue to ensure our communities' safety as we navigate our paths to the new normal," Grab Philippines president Brian Cu said.

The initiative will run for two months.

The launching of the RT-PCR testing site forms part of Grab’s recently rolled out GrabProtect program.

Under the said program, Grab will be distributing hygiene kits including hand sanitisers and disinfectant spray to over 100,000 driver- and delivery-partners to protect their vehicles and delivery bags. —Ted Cordero/KBK, GMA News
