COVID-19 infected personnel now at 2,249 –PNP

The number of police officers infected with COVID-19 reached 2,283 on Monday after the Philippine National Police reported 34 new cases.

A total of 156 policemen, meanwhile, recovered from the illness, raising the total number of recoveries to 1,251.

The death toll remained at 11.

The police organization also recorded 862 probable COVID-19 cases and 2,199 suspected cases.

The PNP urged employees experiencing symptoms similar to COVID-19 to contact its health service.

Nationwide, cases of COVID-19 ballooned to 106,330 including 65,821 recoveries and 2,104 deaths. — DVM, GMA News
