DOTr Asec. Libiran tests positive for COVID-19

Transportation Assistant Secretary Goddes Hope Libiran on Friday said she was tested positive for COVID-19.

"In the spirit of transparency, I would like to inform everyone that I tested positive for COVID-19," Libiran said on Facebook, adding she has subjected herself to home quarantine ever since she got tested on August 1.

"Please do not worry. My GOD is stronger than this virus. HE will never let me down."

The Philippines has overtaken Indonesia as the hotspot of COVID-19 in Southeast Asia after the Department of Health (DOH) on Thursday announced 3,561 new cases, raising the total to 119,460. —KBK, GMA News
