Bong Revilla feeling better but still battling pneumonia, says wife Lani

Senator Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr., diagnosed with COVID-19, is feeling better but still needs rest, his wife Bacoor City Mayor Lani Mercado-Revilla said Friday on Facebook.

"Salamat po sa lahat ng inyong mga dasal. Bumubuti ang lagay ng aking asawa. He still has pneumonia. He occasionally coughs when he talks and still needs to rest," she captioned a screen capture of her video call with Bong.

"Please continue to pray for him. He still has to continue taking his meds and antibiotics. Thanks to all of his doctors and nurses," she added.

The senator was undergoing quarantine after testing positive for COVID-19 but he was rushed to the hospital on Tuesday. His X-ray showed that he developed pneumonia.

Revilla was the fourth senator to get COVID-19. His colleagues Senate Majority Leader Juan Miguel Zubiri, Senators Sonny Angara and Aquilino "Koko" Pimentel III already survived the disease. —LDF, GMA News
