PCG: Almost 1,000 personnel tested positive for COVID-19

The total number of personnel who tested positive for COVID-19 in the Philippine Coast Guard is now 997, its spokesperson Commodore Armand Balilo said on Sunday.

Interviewed on Dobol B sa News TV, PCG's Balilo said that only 127 of them are active cases.

“Nine hundred ninty-seven sa kabuuan ang nagkaroon ng COVID-19 sa PCG. Ang maganda rito 127 ang active cases, 877 ang aming recoveries. Walang nasawi,” he said.

According to Balilo, only one patient is currently admitted in the hospital.

With the help of concerned agencies, the PCG has been working on bringing locally stranded individuals (LSIs) back to their home provinces after the movement restrictions were eased up.

“Ang biyahe namin ay inilalaan para sa mga LSI,” Balilo said.

“Ilan sa mga barko natin ay ginagamit din maging ang eroplano natin at helicopter ay ginagamit para sa paghahatid ng LSI at medical supplies na kailangan ng mga ospital at health facilities,” he added. —LBG, GMA News
