By JAMIL SANTOS,GMA News

President Rodrigo Duterte could announce Ricardo Morales' replacement as Philippine Health Insurance Corporation president and CEO by Monday-August 31, Senator Christopher "Bong" Go said on Saturday.

Go said in a radio interview.

Duterte wanted the next PhilHealth president to rid the agency of corruption from "top to bottom."

The senator added that the next PhilHealth president should have the "willpower" to get the job done and have zero tolerance for corruption.

Morales resigned from his post earlier this week amid allegations of corruption plaguing the state insurer and his battle with lymphoma.

However, Morales insisted that there was no “iota of evidence" that would link him to supposed anomalies at PhilHealth.

The resigned PhilHealth chief also denied protecting the alleged corrupt officials in the state insurer. — DVM, GMA  News
