PNP COVID-19 cases exceed 4,000 with 103 new infections

The number of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases within the Philippine National Police (PNP) surpassed 4,000 on Saturday with 103 new infections, bringing the total tally to 4,004.

According to the PNP, total recoveries also rose to 2,752 after 47 more police officers recovered from the illness. Meanwhile, the death toll remained at 16.

At present, there are 2,947 suspect and 670 probable cases in the PNP.

PNP personnel who are experiencing symptoms similar to COVID-19 were advised to reach out to the PNP Health Service.

Meanwhile, the Philippines reported a total of 213,131 confirmed cases with 135,101 recoveries and 3,419 fatalities.  — DVM, GMA News
