PSA enumerators gear up vs. COVID-19 to take census

Despite the risk of COVID-19, enumerators of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) continue to go house-to-house for the 2020 census.

According to Chino Gaston’s report on “24 Oras” on Monday, the enumerators are required to wear a face mask and shield.

They must also observe social distancing even when interviewing families.

At the same time, kailangan malinis, may alcohol po, tapos full gear po dapat,” PSA Census team leader Allan Joe Dizon said.

The PSA also urged residents of condominiums and exclusive subdivisions to participate in the 2020 census through the online portal, video calls, phone calls, or through a questionnaire that can be obtained from the barangay hall.

— Julia Mari Ornedo/BM, GMA News
