COVID-19 cases in PNP rise to 4,868 with 31 new ones

Thirty-one more personnel of the Philippine National Police (PNP) have tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), bringing its total cases to 4.868.

According to the PNP on Thursday, total recoveries also rose to 3,396 after 37 more patients have recovered from the illness while the death toll within the agency remained at 16.

At present, the agency has reported a total of 3,146 suspect and 735 probable cases.

PNP personnel with symptoms similar to COVID-19 are advised to reach out to the PNP Health Service.

Meanwhile, the Philippines has reported a total of 248,947 confirmed COVID-19 cases with 186,058 recoveries and 4,066 fatalities. — Joahna Lei Casilao/BM, GMA News
