COVID-19 cases within PNP climb to 4,947 with 6 new infections

The number of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases within the Philippine National Police (PNP) climbed to 4,947 on Saturday after six more personnel tested positive for the illness.

Meanwhile, the PNP also announced that total recoveries rose to 3,532 with 25 new ones while the death toll remained at 16.

At present, the agency has reported a total of 3,147 suspect and 737 probable cases.

PNP personnel with symptoms similar to COVID-19 were advised to contact the PNP Health Service.

Meanwhile, the Philippines has reported a total of 257,863 cases with 187,116 recoveries and 4,292 fatalities. -MDM, GMA News
