At least 17 more quarantine facilities will be opened next week to accommodate more COVID-19 patients, according to the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
Interviewed on Dobol B sa News TV on Sunday, DPWH Build Build Build Committee chairperson Anna Mae Lamentillo said that the new quarantine facilities ensure that these would be available when needed.
“By next week, mayroon tayong 17 new quarantine facilities. We plan to build more depending on the need. Ayaw lang po namin na magkaroon ng kakulangan,” Lamentillo said.
Presently, all provinces had quarantine facilities where COVID-19 cases can temporarily stay until they recover.
“In all the provinces, mayroon na tayong evacuation centers which we also converted to quarantine facilities,” Lamentillo said.
“Even in our quarantine facilities, we wanted to make sure that it is comfortable for the use of our citizens,” she added. — DVM, GMA News
