CSC mulls to conduct civil service exams online

The Civil Service Commission (CSC) is looking at how it can conduct civil service exams online as a way to adapt to the “new normal” amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We are one sa commission na we want to go online for the new normal,” CSC commissioner Aileen Lizada said during the state-run PTV’s Laging Handa public briefing.

“We need to restructure our pen and paper test. That's why we gave a directive to the examination and recruitment placement offices ng CSC that we want to go online,” she added.

The CSC has cancelled all the written career service examinations

for 2020 due to the COVID-19 threat.

The examinations will be reset for 2021.

“In transition, hahanap po ng paraan how to bridge the gap to go online,” Lizada said.

The agency is also studying the possibility of deferring the requirement of certification for civil service eligibility amid the pandemic.—AOL, GMA News
