Some LGUs appealing for their quarantine status in November -DILG spox

By ANNA FELICIA BAJO, GMA News

Some local government units have asked for reconsideration about their quarantine status beginning November 1, according to the spokesman of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) on Wednesday.

DILG Undersecretary Jonathan Malaya, however, refused to reveal which localities made an appeal as their requests must still be processed by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases.

IATF and presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said the final quarantine classifications will be decided on Thursday.

“Ang final quarantine classification po natin ay ilalabas po natin sa Oktubre 29,” he said.

President Rodrigo Duterte placed Metro Manila, Batangas, Iloilo City, Bacolod City, Tacloban City, Iligan City, and Lanao Del Sur under general community quarantine from November 1 to 30.
