No changes in quarantine classifications for November — Palace

The government’s COVID-19 task force stood by its decision to place Metro Manila and six other areas under general community quarantine (GCQ) next month, Malacañang said Friday.

Aside from Metro Manila, the cities of Bacolod, Iloilo, Tacloban and Iligan, as well as the provinces of Batangas and Lanao del Sur will also be under GCQ from November 1 to 30, according to presidential spokesperson Harry Roque.

The rest of the country will be under modified general community quarantine.

It was President Rodrigo Duterte who announced the quarantine classifications on Monday, but the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) reviewed the list on Thursday in light of the appeals of some local government units.
