Danao being eyed as NCRPO chief, Año says

Calabarzon police chief Police Brigadier General Vicente Danao has been recommended to replace Police Major General Debold Sinas as chief of the National Capital Region Police Office, Interior Secretary Eduardo Año said on Tuesday. 

"Ang NCRPO ay ide-deliberate pa pero ang nire-recommend na papalit kay General Sinas ay si Brigadier General Vic Danao na manggagaling sa Region IV-A," Año said in a radio interview. 

Sinas is set to formally assume the post as the 25th chief of the Philippine National Police on Tuesday afternoon. 

Outgoing PNP chief Police General Camilo Pancratius Cascolan already said before that Danao is being considered to be the top cop of Metro Manila police.

Cascolan has said Danao has a reputation in the service and that he is a very competent person. —KG, GMA News
