Pasig River 'overflows' near Duterte residence

Water from the Pasig River overflowed at an area in Malacañang near the residence of President Rodrigo Duterte on Thursday.

Duterte was at the Malacanang Golf Clubhouse as he attended an ASEAN virtual summit.

"Yung likod po ng kaniyang bahay ay umapaw na rin po 'yung Pasig River kung saan po siya nagmi-meeting kanina," Senator Christopher "Bong" Go, Duterte's former aide and constant companion, said during the Laging Handa press briefing.

Duterte is expected to address the nation at 1 p.m.

Many parts of Metro Manila and Luzon experienced flooding after heavy rains brought on by Typhoon Ulysses overnight. —JST, GMA News
