By DONA MAGSINO, GMA News

Senator Ronald "Bato" Dela Rosa was  discharged from the hospital on Friday after battling COVID-19.

The former Philippine National Police chief, 58, told reporters that he got home "just this morning" after being confined since November 23.

On Thursday, his staff said he was admitted at the hospital so that his fever, cough, and colds could be monitored better, and that his condition is already “improving.”

Asked if his discharge also meant that he is already negative for the virus, Dela Rosa said his “re-swab” has not been scheduled yet.

Aside from him, his daughter, driver, and house helper also tested positive for COVID-19 last month.
