The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Central Office in Intramuros, Manila announced Friday it will be temporarily closed for disinfection after an undersecretary of the agency tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

“This is not the first time that work at the DOLE central office in Manila is being suspended after some employees tested positive for COVID,” Rolly Francia, DOLE-Information and Publication Service (IPS) director, said.

“We are praying for the early recovery of our Undersecretary who got infected of the virus,” Francia said.
