Pacquiao confirms offers to do movies about his life, Leonardo DiCaprio may play Freddie Roach

Filipino boxing icon and Senator Manny Pacquaio confirmed on Monday that there are offers to produce biopics about him and that Leonardo DiCaprio could be part of the cast.

"There is a proposal pero di kami seriously nagkausap with finality about that topic," Pacquiao said in an interview on ANC.

"Iba-iba eh. Tatlong movie 'yun, pero nandyan 'yung Freedom Fighters at itong movie na ito ilalagay sa Netflix," he added.

DiCaprio is being eyed to play the role of coach Freddie Roach in one of the proposed movies, Pacquaio confirmed during the interview.

Pacquaio, however, said he was not aware of supposed talks about Bohemian Rhapsody star Rami Malek playing as Manny.

The senator said he was too busy with other duties amid the COVID-19 pandemic that he had not been able to pursue these offers yet.

Asked if he would most likely close a deal with movie producers, Pacquiao said: "Why not? Basta magkakasundo."

During the interview, Pacquaio also said he wants a fight with Conor McGregor next year.
