‘Eh ‘di wow,’ says Christine Dacera’s mom as suspects plead innocence

“Eh ‘di wow.”

This was the reaction of Sharon Dacera, the mother of flight attendant Christine Dacera, after she was asked to comment on the supposed innocence of the three suspects who were released after being detained in connection with the death of her daughter.

“Eh ‘di wow nga! Eh ‘di wow, wow, wow! Ganoon na lang sabihin ko sa kanila. Sige lang. Alam ng Diyos ang totoo,”  Dacera said in Mai Bermudez’s report on “24 Oras.”

Christine was found dead in the bathtub of a City Garden Grand Hotel room on January 1. Police authorities and her family believe she was raped, and three suspects were arrested and detained.

However, suspects John Pascual Dela Serna III, Rommel Galido, and John Paul Halili were ordered released from detention on Wednesday due to lack of evidence to file rape charges with homicide complaint.

They have declared their innocence, saying they helped Christine and would not have hurt her.

Mary Grace Rosario, Christine’s aunt, said the release of the suspects was unavoidable.

Dacera also said that they will continue seeking justice.

The last wake of Christine was held in Pasay City on Wednesday evening. — Joahna Lei Casilao/BM, GMA News
