People next to Dacera's room should be investigated –dela Fuente

The mother of one of the respondents involved in the case of flight attendant Christine Dacera on Friday said that the people staying in the room next to Dacera's should also be investigated.

According to Emil Sumangil’s report on “24 Oras,” Dacera and her friends stayed in room 2209 but she also repeatedly visited room 2207.

The respondents said their friend, Eduard Madrid, urged them to go to room 2207 to meet with his other friends. They said they played some parlor games and then returned to their room.

Just say hi, say Happy New Year, so kami pumunta naman. Sige, friendly. Friend-friend tayo,” Rommel Galido explained.

“Pumunta kami doon, pumasok kami, and then si ganito, ganyan, friends ko, friends namin. Siguro, estimate lang, siguro eight,” he added.

Likewise, JP Dela Serna, another respondent, said that they only stayed in room 2207 for a short while.

“Nag-gate crash kami sa kabilang room kasi may kasama kami na may friend sa kabilang room, so pinakilala niya kami. But then, for some reason, it didn’t take that long… and after bumalik kami sa room namin which is 2209,” Dela Serna said.

Meanwhile, Valentine Rosales said he urged the group to return to their room - 2209.

So pumunta na kami doon pabalik sa room namin to welcome the New Year,” he added.

The group, however, said Dacera repeatedly returned to 2207, so much so that they repeatedly kept bringing her back to their room.

“So the other instances that Tine… went to room 2207 is because nagiging makulit na siya and she’s drunk.” Dela Serna said.

Rosales said Dacera went back to the room “more or less five or six times.”

CCTV footage acquired by GMA News from a source showed Dacera's companion fetching her from room 2207 past 3 a.m. on January 1.

“Nangaway po si Tine sa room 2207 and that time I’m the one who picked her up,” Dela Serna said.

The group said Dacera started vomiting at 4 a.m., not only in their room but also in room 2207.

“About 5 a.m., 5:30, nawala po kasi si Tine. Nasa kabilang room pala siya. Sabi sa akin nung sa kabilang room ‘huy, ‘yung friend niyo nag-suka.’ So nag-suka pala siya sa kabilang room, sa 2207,” Clark Rapinan said.

“And then, bumalik ulit ako sa room sinabihan ko ‘yung mga kaibigan ko na, guys si Tine sumuka sa kabila,” he added.

Rapinan said he did not know the people in room 2207.

When they got back to their room, Dacera could no longer talk.

The friends said Dacera slept in the bathtub though they urged her to move to the bed. It was only at noon when they noticed that she was no longer breathing.

Galido said he tried waking Dacera as they needed to go home. This was when he noticed that she was not breathing.

Breathing, negative. Doon na ko nag-panic kasi parang nag blue-blue na ‘yung lips niya and the nails,” Galido said.

Tapos sini-PR,” he added.

The group maintained that they did not cause Dacera's death, and they were willing to cooperate with investigations to prove this. — Joahna Lei Casilao/DVM, GMA News
