NBI identifies people in 'Room 2207' tagged in Dacera case

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has identified the occupants of "Room 2207," the other room of a Makati hotel repeatedly visited by flight attendant Christine Dacera hours before her death.

But according to John Consulta’s report on “24 Oras Weekend,” the NBI declined to name the occupants of Room 2207 even as it urged them to also give a statement about the incident.

On Monday, 11 personalities subpoenaed by the NBI are expected to drop by the bureau to give their testimonies as the last people with the victim before her death.

“We are also asking the persons of interest to come forward and cooperate,” NBI spokesperson Deputy Director  Ferdinand Lavin said.

“Kung gusto niyong makipag tulungan sa NBI, meron kayong kaalam, you want to clear your names, you can come here with your lawyers. We rest assure you that we will handle the investigation as professionally as we could get,” he added.

Dacera's companions at Room 2209, where they were staying to welcome the New Year, said they were introduced to people at Room 2207 by a common friend.

Forensic exam

The forensic team from NBI Manila has arrived at General Santos City to retrieve tissue samples and conduct a forensic examination on Dacera’s remains.

Meanwhile, the results of the samples taken by the NBI at the City Grand Hotel during its crime scene investigation are expected to come out next week.

“We rest assure the public that the investigation of the NBI is to really know the truth. Ano ba talaga ang nangyari doon? Kung, if this will result to criminal prosecution, basta may ebidensya kami, then so be it,” he said.
