DOH eyes other sectors to help health workers in COVID-19 vaccination

The Department of Health (DOH) will seek help from different sectors to join healthcare workers as vaccinators in the national inoculation rollout against COVID-19, Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said.

“As to these people who's going to provide the vaccine, ‘yun pong mga magbabakuna, dito po ay hihingi tayo ng tulong  sa iba't -ibang sector para madagdagan itong current natin na healthcare workers na magbabakuna po,” Vergeire said in an interview on GMA News’ Unang Balita on Thursday.

Vaccine czar Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr. earlier said that more or less 25,000 people

The Philippine government targets to secure 148 million doses of vaccine and vaccinate some 50 to 70 million Filipinos against COVID-19 this year.

According to Galvez, vaccination rollout is expected to start by February. -NB, GMA News
