Testing czar Vince Dizon on Wednesday said "influencers" should set a good example to the general public in following health and safety protocols amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

During the COVID-19 Vaccine CODE Team Visit in Taguig City, officials were asked for reaction regarding the alleged party that was conducted in the city by some celebrities.

The details of the supposed party were not specified. Entertainment news, however, recently reported that netizens were dismayed

over TV personality Raymond Gutierrez throwing a party in Bonifacio Global City.

Dizon further said even if the attendees of the party were subjected to RT-PCR testing, this will not solely protect them from contracting the coronavirus.

Taguig City Mayor Lino Cayetano echoed the sentiment of Dizon, saying that COVID-19 testing will not excuse individuals from observing the health measures of a specific area.

"The city will release guidelines doon sa specific ng testing pero any kind of testing does not excuse you from the rules of our city. Mayroon ho tayong mga patakaran. Hindi ho dahil nagpa-test kayo, exempted ho kayo. We want to make that very clear," Cayetano said.

He added that the city holds the establishment responsible until the investigation is finished.

There is a process when it comes to holding events in Taguig City, Cayetano also said.

"Sa Taguig ho naman if you want to have a special event, kung gusto niyo mag-shooting ng pelikula o ano man, meron ho kaming mga proseso. Ginagabayan natin itong mga events at mga activities para sigurado na safe sila," he said. —KG, GMA News
