Calendars urging a Sara Duterte presidential run distributed in QC

Calendars urging Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte to run for president in 2022 were distributed to several vendors in Banawe Street, Quezon City on Saturday, according to a report by Super Radyo dzBB's Luisito Santos.

The calendar contained Duterte’s photo with the caption, “Run Sara, run for President 2022.”

The Davao Mayor in December 2020 topped a Pulse Asia survey on possible candidates for president in the 2022 elections.

However, Sara Duterte later said that she had no intention to run for president, adding that her refusal to be president “is not the end of the world.”

President Rodrigo Duterte, her father, also expressed disapproval with the notion, saying the presidency was not for a woman as “the emotional set-up of a woman and a man is totally different,” a statement he was criticized for.  — Joahna Lei Casilao/DVM, GMA News
