President Rodrigo Duterte on Friday night met with officials of the Philippine National Police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency two days after the deadly shootout that transpired between police officers and PDEA agents in Quezon City.
Pictures from the meeting showed Duterte speaking with PNP chief Police General Debold Sinas, PDEA director general Wilkins Villanueva and Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra.
Duterte earlier in the day ordered the National Bureau of Investigation, which is under the DOJ, to look into the events that led to the drug operatives of the Quezon City Police District and the PDEA shooting at each other on busy Commonwealth Avenue.
An initial report by the NBI indicated that two PDEA agents and an informant were killed in the shootout. Two bemedaled police officers were also killed. -NB, GMA News
