PNP officials won't jump the line in COVID-19 vaccination priority —Eleazar

Despite reports of police officials getting infected by the coronavirus, the Philippine National Police still would not include them as priority in the vaccination program like healthcare workers.

In a press conference on Monday, PNP officer-in-charge Police Lieutenant General Guillermo Eleazar was asked if they are considering now to inoculate officials to ensure their duties would not be affected.

“We have priority. Gusto na naming magpaturok pero hindi naman uubra kasi healthcare worker muna,” he said.

(“We have a priority list. We want to get the vaccine shots already but we have to prioritize healthcare workers.)

For Eleazar, the PNP personnel will still be the next in line for vaccination once the inoculation of healthcare workers, senior citizens, and people with co-morbidity is finished.
