Presidential spokesman Harry Roque Jr. shared the stage with President Rodrigo Duterte a few days before he tested positive for COVID-19.

According to Joseph Morong's report on "24 Oras", Roque was onstage at an event in Dumaguete City together with Duterte and several other officials on March 11.

Roque announced that he was COVID-19-positive on Monday, March 15.

"I was never in close contact with them," Roque said when asked if he was ever physically close to the President over the past few days.

Told that he was in close proximity to Duterte onstage, Roque said, "Nasa likod naman po ako."
