Caritas Manila and Radio Veritas head tests positive for COVID-19

The head of the Catholic Church's humanitarian arm Caritas Manila and Radio Veritas has tested positive for COVID-19.

Reverend Fr. Anton CT Pascual has been admitted to Cardinal Santos Medical Center in San Juan City after his RT-PCR test yielded a positive result, the Radio Veritas said.

Other officials and employees of Caritas Manila tested positive for COVID-19 and are currently under quarantine, it added.

Both Caritas Maninla and Radio Veritas requested for prayers for the quick recovery of Fr. Pascual.

Due to this, the office of Caritas Manila on Jesus Street in Pandacan, Manila was placed under lockdown from March 20 to 28 for disinfection.

Caritas Manila assured that its services will continue especially among those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic even if the office is under lockdown. —KG, GMA News
