239 more cops test positive for COVID-19; total now at 15,105

The number of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases within the Philippine National Police (PNP) climbed to 15,105 on Wednesday with 239 more employees testing positive for the illness.

Latest data from the PNP showed that total recoveries also rose to 12,718 after 146 additional police officers defeated the viral disease.

The death toll increased to 38 with one new fatality.

So far, there are 2,349 active COVID-19 cases within the police organization.

Nationwide, cases of COVID-19 increased to 756,199 including 138,948 active cases, 603,948 recoveries and 13,303 deaths. -- BAP, GMA News
