Duterte to talk to people Monday night, says Bong Go

By ERWIN COLCOL,GMA News

Exactly two weeks since his last public appearance, President Rodrigo Duterte will resume his Talk to the People on Monday night, his former special assistant Senator Bong Go has said.

Duterte’s last public appearance was on March 29 when he personally received one million doses of Sinovac's COVID-19 vaccine, the first batch that was paid for by the government that was delivered to the country.

He delivered his regular Talk to the People later on that day.

Duterte's talk was postponed twice last week after several members of the Presidential Security Group tested positive for the disease.

Go has said Duterte was in good health and did not experience any symptom of COVID-19. He even said that the President tested negative for the disease according to his most recent swab test.

The senator even shared photos of the President jogging and riding a motorcycle at the Malacañang grounds to allay concerns about the chief executive's state of health.

In his weekly TV appearances, Duterte usually makes important announcements regarding the government's efforts to address COVID-19 pandemic as well as his administration's new policies. --NB, GMA News
