235 more cops get COVID-19, total now at 17,637

The number of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases within the Philippine National Police (PNP) rose to 17,637 on Monday with 235 more personnel testing positive for the illness.

Latest data from the PNP showed that total recoveries also rose to 15,200 after 272 additional police officers defeated the viral disease.

The death toll increased to 46 with two new fatalities.

So far, there are 2,391 active COVID-19 cases within the police organization.

Nationwide, cases of COVID-19 ballooned to 884,783 with 165,53 active cases, 703,963 recoveries and 15,286 deaths.—Ma. Angelica Garcia/LDF, GMA News
