PNP COVID-19 fatality tally rises to 53

The number of COVID-19 cases among police personnel reached 19,536, with 141 recorded additional infections, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said Sunday.

In a Facebook post, the police organization said its hearth service also documented 2,065 active cases.

Likewise, the PNP recorded 128 more recoveries and one new death among its personnel, raising the total count of survivors and fatalities to 17,148 and 53, respectively.

So far, Philippines recorded 989,380 total COVID-19 cases, of which 89,485 are active cases, 883,221 are recoveries and 16,674  are fatalities. —Consuelo Marquez/LBG, GMA News
