Navotas City Representative John Rey Tiangco on Wednesday bared that he tested positive for COVID-19.

In a Facebook post, Tiangco said this was based on an antigen test, and that he would still undergo the RT-PCR test.

(For your information, based on my antigen test last night, I tested positive for COVID-19. Tomorrow, I will undergo the RT-PCR test.)

He said he is already in isolation and he is currently feeling fine.

Earlier this month, the Department of Health said antigen test results would be included in the official tally of COVID-19 cases in NCR Plus as part of the country’s outbreak response.

Tiangco advised those he had direct contact with to also have themselves tested for the infection.

(To those whom I have contact with, it is best if you will be tested for the disease for your own safety. The RT-PCR swab test in our city is free. You just have to coordinate with the barangay or the health center.) --KBK, GMA News
