Comelec suspends voter registration until May 14 in NCR Plus

The Commission on Elections on Sunday suspended voter registration in the National Capital Region Plus to May 14 amid the extension of the modified enhanced community quarantine.

According to Comelec, work in offices in the NCR Plus will be suspended from May 1 to 14, thus voter registration and issuance of voter's certification will also be suspended.

Meanwhile, voter registration and issuance of voter's certification will be suspended from May 1 to 31 in Santiago City Isabela, Abra, and Quirino.

Voter registration and issuance of voter's certification will also be suspended in other areas placed under ECQ or MECQ by their respective local government units for any specific period in the month of May.

"For the duration of the MECQ in NCR Plus and other areas, the Comelec Office for Overseas Voting in Intramuros, Manila will be attending exclusively to voter registration applicants with urgent travel needs," Comelec added.

The OFOV may be reached via its official Facebook page or by email at overseasvoting@comelec.gov.ph or ov.concerns@comelec.gov.ph, or by phone at 09050345158 or 09158759882.
