NKTI opens modular hemodialysis facility for COVID-19 patients

The National Kidney and Transplant Institute in Quezon City on Wednesday opened its off-site modular hemodialysis facility for COVID-19 patients.

According to Ian Cruz's report on "24 Oras," the hemodialysis facility has 20 dialysis stations that can each operate up to three sessions daily.

The hemodialysis center can accommodate 60 patients a day.

Moreover, it has 16 air-conditioned dormitory rooms that can house 32 healthcare workers.

Earlier, the National Task Force Against COVID-19 said additional modular facilities would be set up to accommodate COVID-19 patients who can no longer be admitted in hospitals due to overcapacity.
